A great way to fly with reasonable costs for younger people.
Lasham Gliding Society offers three linked schemes for youth flying, with varying levels of support towards flying costs, dependent upon age on the 1st January of the current year.
There are two membership categories:
- 14 Years Old to 21 Years Old.
- 21 Years Old to 26 Years Old.
Lasham Youth has been set up to encourage the presence and participation of younger people at Lasham by making gliding more accessible to under 26 year olds. It is run by a committee of Lasham Gliding Society youth members.
The Youth movement is also supported by the 3 Universities that fly from lasham. More information on the Universities can be found by following this link.
Reductions in launch and soaring costs as approved by Lasham Youth Committee, using charitable donations from Lasham Gliding Society members.
